Public contract awarding (public procurement)
The right to award public contracts or contracts sponsored by public funds is regulated by a complex hierarchy of legislation which is difficult to comprehend. Jurisdiction is partly inconsistent and often subject to rapid changes.
Benefit from our specific know-how in this legal field:
- Many years of experience in advising public authorities about the awarding of public works contracts (VOB/A [Contract procedure for building works, part A]), supplies and services (VOL/A [Awarding and contracting regulation for services, part A]) and freelance services (VOF [Contract procedure for freelance services])
- Knowledge of typical sources of errors in all types of contract awarding and hence possibilities of avoiding them
- Enforcing the rights of bidders before the German Vergabekammern [Public Procurement Courts of First Instance] and the Higher Regional Courts
- Expedited relief in the so-called ”below-threshold area“
Due to our expertise in this legal field, we are regularly engaged as lecturers to teach administrative specialists and entrepreneurs.
